The Start of a Saga

Assassin's Creed 2 takes place in 15th century Italy during the Renaissance and follows Ezio Auditore da Firenze. He is introduced as a cocky 17 year old who has a very arrogant personality. His family is framed in a political plot which ends
with his brothers and Father getting hung. After this traumatic event, Ezio finds out his family's secret of being assassins. He finds his father's Assassin gear and runs to his uncle's villa in the country with his sister and mother. Uncle Mario
helps him uncover the group of people who conspired against his family. While traveling aorund Italy and assassinating major figures, Ezio gains more allies, including Leonardo da Vinci, as well as more answers to uncovering the people who killed his
family. With the help of da Vinci and Mario, he discovers the identity of the mastermind behind his family's execution, Rodrigo Borgia. Borgia wanted to bring down all the political power in Florence because he believed himself to be the Prophet that will
lead the Templars, main antagonist group, to the Vault, which holds pieces of Eden. However, Ezio is the true Prophet and confronts Borgia, who is now Pope Alexander IV, and attacks him. Ezio does not kill him though, becuase he knows it will not
bring his family back. Instead, he uses the Apple of Eden and Papal cross to unlock the Vault. Inside the Vault, Ezio is greeted by the Isu, Minerva. She explains that there is a solar flare that will destroy the Earth in 2012 and that Ezio, along
his future ancestors must prevent it.

More About the Game

Assassin's Creed II is one of the highest rated games with 90% of players enjoying the game. It has been nominated for 36 awards and has won 9, including VGX Award for Best Action Adventure Game in 2009 and Golden Joystick's award of the same name in
2010. Another award that the game won was for best original score, with Jesper Kyd as the main composer. The main theme of "Ezio's Family" is one of the most recognizable tracks of all time. Assassin's Creed 2 also got nominated for best sound by many
different publishers because of the games amazing sound scape and its signature eagle screach.
